If anyone reading this is going to Galway at some point in life, you have to promise me you will go to the Cliffs of Moher because that was the most incredible experience of my life.
We boarded the bus with the Galway Tour Company and were lead through the countryside by a quirky but equally charming man named Ivan. We stopped every few miles to see the beautiful Galway bay, take a picture of horses grazing on the countryside, or to eat at a delicious pub. It was basically straight out of a P.S. I Love You scene everywhere you looked.
The Cliffs of Moher are one of Galway's "Claim to Fame" attractions - and for a reason. It was quite a hike up to the cliffs, but once we reached the top it was unbelievable. Sadly, there was a sign posted that said, "In Honor of those who have lost their lives at the Cliffs of Moher". Apparently it is a common spot for suicides since it is so dangerous and there are no barriers to the cliffs and you are free to do what you please and the government is not liable. I've never had a fear of heights before, but when walking within a foot of those cliffs and the crashing ocean, my heart began to race and I was on the edge of adrenaline and terror.
There's me, being obsessed with taking pictures like always.
Castle in the background. Awesome.
One of the castles we saw on our tour, they are scattered every few miles in County Kerry.
We have made friends with a few Irish folks, learned some Dutch drinking games (complements of my roommate), and we have all grown a deep love for the local Irish cider and some great wines.
Tomorrow I start classes on campus, so the fun will be over for now! I can't wait to get in my first Irish lecture though, test out what I understand with the accent, and find a routine of daily coffee from my favorite café. Sometimes it's all about the little things.
Thanks for reading!

Lindz, Should I bring a life vest when i come to visit??
